Does facebook chat work internationally?

Question

Ok, I tried to start a discussion with a friend who just moved to overseas. I opened the chat window and entered the message but didn't get a response.

This is actually the second time I've tried to send them a IM but got the same result.

Now I highly doubt they would be ignoring.

Has anyone had problems like this?

yeah facebook works internationally..

It should work fine.

As long as they can access Facebook from where they are, too.

yes it would work fine, i speak to loads of people from around the world! i reckon there must be some other reason, such as they don't know how to work it, or arent checking it, or they don't like you ;)
