Does fasa require proof of income of the absent parent?

Never married. Father has been absent all of childs life.

  1. No!!! If u take care of him by urself then ur income is the only income that's needed.  9 times of of 10 ur child would get more money n grants with a single parent anyway. So don't stress urself!!! Live..Laugh..Love


  2. If you are the parent of record and bio-dad has never been present in the students life then you don't put his info on the FAFSA.

    Parent of record means who the student lives with or has lived with the most in the last 12 month period.
