  1. Firefox is a web browser used to view web pages. With over 125 million users, I would highly doubt they would package viruses into the software.

  2. it can't make or give u a virus. Its a safe browser. Just note that you shouldn't be clicking on dangerous ad's because they can give u viruses.

  3. Did you download Firefox from the actual site -- not a phishing site, advertising site? If not, you'll need to uninstall it. Run your antivirus and antispyware to remove any bad stuff that might have been downloaded. Then, once you're sure that your PC is clean, go to the official site:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and download a clean copy. Take the defaults for the install. This will ensure that things like anti-phishing and no popups are enabled.

  4. Are you sure it is a virus? If you already have Firefox installed and your AV program tells you a threat is in the Firefox folder then it is most likely a tracking cookie, empty the Cookies folder and Temp Internet folders and just clear them out. If you mean when you downloaded Firefox and as it installed you got a virus blame the website you downloaded it from. Try http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all... and you can download from the official site in multiple languages if Engish is not your 1st choice. Clean your system 1st before reinstalling - switch off System Restore to clear any re-infection on a reboot, run your AV program, reboot, rescan - if clear re-enable system restore, then reload Firefox from the link above.

  5. No.  Mozilla Firefox is one of the most highly developed and safe pieces of software ever developed.  In fact, most Internet browsers use open-source code from Firefox.

Many web developers use it as their primary testing program, and IT specialists consider it safer than Microsoft Internet Explorer.

I am an avid user of Firefox, and would never, ever go back to Microsoft Internet Explorer as things stand.

Use it with confidence.  It's far safer, and far better.

  6. Firefox is safe, how ever if you installed while the system was already infected then firefox could become compromised.  If you think you may have a virus run a scan such as AVG, and or check out this link below for more info

  7. Firefox is 100% completely absolutely safe.
