  1. It helps promote regular kidney functions. It is commonly used when patients are taking solid amounts of pills so that there liver and/kidneys can work overtime.

P.S. it also helps with bowl movements.

  2. Not really, no.

Its definitely a good supplement to take tho, depending on what you consume in your diet.  It helps with intestinal health, it helps with keeping seratonin levels up.  Flaxseed has got those healthy omega3 fatty acids that helps with brain health, mental function, cell regeneration, a healthy heart, it helps reduce inflammation in the body.  Ur body can't make these fats & acids contained in flaxseed, & it needs to get it from your diet.  You can also get them in fish & eggs.  There is also a small amount of evidence pointing to the possibility that it helps to stabilise blood sugar levels, which in turn might help stop those sugar cravings.  I think they're are a whole heap of other health benefits, but I'm not sure about those.

You're going to hate the rest of my answer, but the absolute best, most healthy & guaranteed way to lose weight, ... & keep it off ... is balanced & nutritious food & moderate exercise.  The quicker you lose it, the quicker it will go back on.
