  1. They have no way of knowing if someone has life insurance, unless someone (the insured, or a family member) tells them, and gives them a copy of the policy.

    Of course, like any other business, they'll keep accounts receivable records.


  2. no they only find out when the family comes in, all they know if they already pre-bought any caskets and stuff
