  1. Germany drafts male men - 18years plus - women can join the armed forces ... minimum age again 18 years.

  2. Like in other countries e.g. America kids in Germany are allowed to do little jobs like paper rounds to improve their pocket money. But the German law makes sure that they don't neglect school because of the compulsory school attendance...

  3. NO

  4. Oh oh, been reading those history books again, have you? They actually did recruit kids, but that was like almost 70 years ago. They don't do it any more.

  5. of course not.

  6. Which ideas do you have??? Of course NOT.

Children wanting to do jobs like distributing newspapers and such in the neighborhood need WRITTEN PERMISSION by their parents. It's even needed for cat, dog or baby sitting. (Well, legally.)

And in the army: h**l, no. You can be drafted when you're eighteen, but the draft nowadays is 9 months of service (when I got drafted, it were 15), and only includes homeland service, unless you volunteer for something like Afghanistan. (Yes, Germany has troops there.) And children aren't allowed within army barracks, except for special "family days", where there's usually a big show presenting old tanks the children can climb on and ask the presenters children's questions...

And, believe me: Having helped organize a "children's day" at the barracks and having stayed friendly all day long, I didn't feel like having supported the "home front". The problem with kids is, they want to see "the real things", but you can't show them to them, for various reasons. So they were (rightfully) disappointed. (But they all liked the helicopter.)

  7. No they don't, well everybody up to the age of 16 goes to school. Most then start working, some continue school...

Around the age of 18 they are getting a letter and then they are being drafted... either after school (if they stayed in longer) or after job training... That's at about 18 or 19.

Those drafted are not send to Afghanistan, but just out through basic and a couple of additional months... Those who stay in longer (because they wish to) for a couple of months may (if they ask for it) get deployed.

    Concerning working under 18:

Everybody under the age of 18 is supposed to go to school. Some finish at 16 and start job training (working), but because they have to go to school they do have a special schooling beside the job and their boss has to give them time off for that.

The military training for those drafted is 9 months, for those who deny the social work is 10 months.

Why in the world do I get thumbs down for this? It's just thew way it is...

  8. they don't

  9. Now you have given us an idea!

  10. under 18 years old cant get into the army

every man must either be trained in the army for one year

or make one social year, like washing old people or other social work

people with a psychologial illness have to do nothing
