  1. Not necessarily, it is possible to get a few questions - but not many - incorrect and still get a perfect 2400 on the SAT because of the way the SAT works.  The number of questions you can get wrong basically depends on how well other people do.

  2. No, not necessarily.  It's graded on a curve, so it depends on how well other test takers did on the test.  For example, I got 800 on the writing section but I missed one question.  Of course, if you did get all the questions right you will get 2400!

  3. Usually not.  If you do get every question correct, of course you'll get a 2400, but the scores are statistically scaled so that if you miss a couple of questions (the exact number depends on the specific administration) on a section, you might still get an 800.  Typically, math is the toughest curve; if you miss a question there, you'll probably lose the 800.

  4. not necessarily. you can sometimes get 2 questions wrong on the critical reading and still score 800, for writing sometimes you only need to get a 9 on your essay but all multiple choice questions correct, but for math you need to get every question correct.

  5. nope not necessarily--the sat is scored on a curve so you could probably get about three questions worng and get an 800 on a single section
