  1. No, it doesn't hurt.  They make sure that you are really numb before they do anything.  It does take longer than the normal filing, but no pain.

  2. There is some discomfort due to being afraid. DENTISTS CAN MAKE IT PAINLESS, but you will still feel the pinch of the needle to numb it.Be brave, you will benefit when it is done.

  3. It won't hurt because they either put you under anesthetics (not sure how it's spelled) or numb you out.

Either way, you won't feel a thing.

It's just a long and boring process. Sometimes dentists have those special goggles that you can watch movies in, but in case they don't, bring along an iPod so you can listen to music.

    You'll be fine!

  4. I've had two root canals and neither one hurt.

  5. the worst thing about it for me was keeping your mouth open for so long. but it doesnt hurt.

  6. No, after they numb your mouth  it is a breeze.

  7. Root canals don't hurt anymore. The dentists use Novocaine to temporally block the impulses to your tooth nerve. No pain. The procedure usually lasts about an hour. The dentists drills a small hole in the center of your tooth and then pulls out the nerves in your gum, then fills the hole up. Done. Paying the bill may hurt.
