  1. I have my belly button pierced and a couple tatts.

The piercing was just a pinch, but everyone's level of pain tolerance differs-as for tattoos, the pain is different for everyone too..but once you see the end result you'll LOVE it and be glad you did it. (if it came out looking just how you wanted it to.)

but I love pain so nothing really hurt for me.

  2. Well depends where you live for the place to get it.

But as with all piercings, it hurts. It's bearable, definitely better than septum, or anything below the waist, but it's quick. Although the upkeep is hard and it takes months to heal, so be cautious. You're choosing a good time, summer piercings usually get infected because of pools.

And as for the tattoo? It's a needle going through several layers of skin, and the pain subsides in a few days, just don't touch it. And make sure you have something to squeeze or bite when you get it done!

    Good luck :)

  3. It depends...one of my "tough guy" friends cried during his tattoo; I was so relaxed during mine, I almost fell asleep.  It depends on your level of pain tolerance, I guess.  The tattoo to me felt like someone was slowly scraping a sharp, hot piece of glass against my skin.

The belly piercing, however, I HATED.  It hurt me so much.  But I have a thing for belly buttons...I hate them, so I'm sure that added to it.

  4. Peircings and tattoos usually hurt while you're getting them, but you'll most likely be happy with the end result.

  5. I have both my belly button pierced and a tattoo.  Both hurt, but the pain level is different for everyone.  The pain seems unbearable at the time but after it heals, you forget how extreme it was.  I would rather get my belly button pierced again, than get my tattoo over.

I can't wait to get another tattoo, so the pain really doesn't stop you.  I got my first on my lower back.  It is uncomfortable while rubbing against the bone, and seemed to hurt worse farther out on the sides.

  6. it does hurt,a belly is the most sensitive area which will fell more pain..but that's doesn't end up that way, the artist will guide you feel enjoy with the pain..just go for it

  7. I've never had my belly button pierced, but I hate belly buttons. so. But I just got my lip pierced yesterday, it was bearable. I wouldn't say it didn't hurt. Because it did. I also have 15 plus tattoos. I have a very low tolerance for pain and I would get a tattoo any day over a piercing. Although the piercing is quicker. The Pain of my tattoos was just really a vibrating burning kinda thing. But every ones pain tolerance is different. But if you really want something bad enough, the pain is nothing compared to the end results. I would just say man up and go for it. LOL..

  8. I don't have any tattos but have my bellybutton pierced. I'd say it hurt a 6 or a 7. 1 being nothing and 10 being really painful. But then again I have a quite low pain tolerence. So you are probably different cause before I got mine done I read tons of stories and some people fainted, some said it hurt like heck, some said it was nothing and some were in the middle. I asked the same question to everyone I knew who had one I later learned it was kind of pointless.

  9. Piercings aren't that bad.  Really.

As for tattoos, the best thing to remember is that they are PERMANENT.  If pain is even a consideration on whether or not to get a tattoo, you're not ready, IMO.  I know turning 18 is when getting piercings and tattoos becomes legal so you might want to go crazy, but I would really wait until you have something meaningful that you will love forever before you get it permanently poked into your skin.  The more sure you are about your tattoo, the less it will hurt.  Go crazy with piercings, you can always take those out.

  10. OMG.  I have an extremely high tolerance for pain and the belly piercing hurt like you can't believe.  Believe me, it was a lot more than a pinch.  They use a thick needle to make the hole.  The only consolation is that it was really quick.  I have metal allergies and I can only wear real gold.  Obviously my piercing was some cheap metal so I had to remove it because it got really infected and I had to get a tetanus shot.  It wasn't pretty.  I have never gotten a tattoo but I hear it hurts.  It probably isn't too bad if you get a small one.
