Does getting a third whole on your ear lobe hurt more than the 2nd?

oh yeah the cartilage hurts..i got one pierced and then pierced my third hole on the other ear at the same time....couldnt sleep on either side of my head.....then went back a month later and got two on the other ear cartilage..took about six months till the cartilage healed...use a quality earring...i put in hoops as soon as i could touch my ears..i couldnt handle the earrings poking my head..wash your hands before you touch and use neosporin

If your 3rd hole is on the same soft cartilage part as the 2nd then it shouldn't hurt more, but the hard cartilage like at the top of your ear does hurt more. Not too bad though. It just takes a little longer to heal properly and it can close up much more quickly.
