Does getting flu shot invalidate fasting?

My brother needs to get a flu shot but the date is in September. Will getting the shot void fasting?

  1. No, the injection will not make his Fast invalid.  


  2. yes, You can't take medicine and fast. If it's a must, then he should make up the fast later.

    My Ramadhan calendar has a small list of things that make fast Makrooh and things that do not effect fast. It's a good Calendar

    Under the list of things that DO NOT affect fast, "to have injection" is one of them

    I even have another book and it also says that having injection does not affect fast

  6. Salam for you.No the light flu (not bird flu) does not invalidate fasting because you can get medicine before dawn on your sahur and after iftar and breaking time of your fasting or you can get injection for it

    Only food,drinks and swallowing medicines through your mouth should be avoided including vomitting intentionally if you  do not want to invalidate your fasting.
