Does getting hit by a blue shell give you a less of a chance of getting 3 star rank on Mario Kart Wii?

I seem to do brilliantly on the grand prix but I get hit by blue shells alot... does this give me a less of a chance of getting the 3 star rank?

I dont think so? Because the only reason you get hit by blue shells is cuz your in the front

Yes, because it slows you down.

I believe so, yes.  While I haven't seen any hard data on what it takes to get those three stars, experience and intuition lead me to believe the star ranking comes from the time it took you to complete the four races.  You have to run four clean, fast races to get three!

Yes--star rankings are largely based on how fast you finish each race, in addition to the position in which you finish.  It's pretty messed up, I think, since it'll take a lot of luck to not get hit by a blue shell... either way, hope this helps, good luck!

No, It all depends on your skill. If you get hit and still beat them by about 8+ seconds on all the courses, you'll get 3 stars.
