i went to the dentist today and found out i have 3 wisdom teeth. my dr wants to take two of the wisdom teeth out but its not out yet. its still inside. i was thinking i should wait till my wisdom teeth comes out and then take it out cuz it should hurt less. (my mom was saying that hes going to cut my gum out to find the teeth, then take it out, then sew it bak together.) but i have braces on and if my wisdom teeth comes out then my teeth is going to be twisted. is it going to hurt a lot when they cut my gum of or something??

  1. That is referred to as "cutting out" your wisdom teeth.

If you are going to get 2 of them done, I would recommend getting them all done (at one time). they tend to cause more trouble than they are worth. Having them all done at once is only a little more expensive.....especially if you end up having to have them removed anyway.

Yes, the surgery hurts, but the oral surgeon will put you under anesthesia. You won't feel them actually taking them out. The dr gave me percocet and lortab for pain. You feel it after the surgery. After the first 3 days, you are pretty much fine.

I even knew people who were fine that day. I'm just a wuss, I guess.

  2. not to scare you but yeah

  3. I hope you would not be awake during the precedure.

  4. Well, you usually have the choice to be put to sleep when they do this so by the time you wake up the teeth will be out and it doesn´t hurt much after this. You should probably get your wisdom teeth pulled out now before they grow in because it hurts when they grow in anyway.

  5. i got put out but it was swoll for a few days lotsa pain killers
