Does giving a horse B-1 and Calcium before a race make it lazy or slow to react?

  1. It depends if you've had to hit him over the head first to get him to open his mouth.

    But seriously folks, it might actually improve performance as it would give the horse's digestive system something to do during the course of the race, possibly keeping some of that stomach acid which contributes to jittery behavior busy with breaking down the vitamins.

    Just don't hit him over the head. Seriously.


  2. No.  B-1 and calcium however will calm the horse down especially if the horse has a tendency to become nervous before a race.
