  1. It makes weather warmer but also changes the seasons to a different time table, also gives more sudden blast of extremes.

  2. No, winter is exactly the same length if ever was.  It is the period between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox.  These days are set by the rotation of the Earth about the Sun and are unaffected by global warming and the political hype being generated by failed politicians and Hollywood celebrities.

  3. Weather is the interaction of 3 things. Water Vapor, Air Pressure and Temperature. Air pressure is either cold heavy air or lighter warmer air. Changing weather simply requires any change in the formula.

Go to the following link and see how we are contributing to weather changes. The changes and global warming do not mean we will be living in tropical weather, it means there are changes with warming the atmosphere. Look at the tornadoes in the US this winter, Canada had snowfall it hasn't seen in 80 years, floods, etc. My area is having freezing temperatures this weekend while blossoms and bees were busy last week. The link below will let you see what academia is missing.

Go to http://www.thermoguy.com/globalwarming-h... and see how we are generating heat close to boiling temperature with every building.

  4. I think it depends on the locations and regions in this world. Generally, global warning implies the weather is getting hotter each day in the most polluted cities in this world, such as Hong Kong, Beijing, Los Angels, and New York. Hong Kong is named as the most polluted city in this world by Tim Flannry (you can visit his website, particularly more detailed with the joint writer, Christine Loh, a Hong kong citizen). You can get tons of answers from google search,  Al Gore's book of An inconvenient truth, either video or text book.  The following clipped websites show answers to your question in detailed.

  5. yes! because of thick layer of cloud.it does not allow sun rays to enter in.the temperature remains cool

  6. Given the massive complexities of our climate, I am not sure there is a pat answer to this.

As for global warming... Its not man made.

Here's a link to a BBC video, it was pretty good and well done.

  7. no.

    but then again, what's winter?

maybe you think it's the period when it's cold.

    how 'bout this?

"Melting permafrost has already forced the government of Alaska to cut from 200 to 100 days the annual period during which oil and gas equipment is permitted to travel on the tundra."

it would appear that if global warming is causing a change, then winter's getting shorter -- in some areas at least.

  8. It must, it snowed here in VA this week , in the middle of april,  Much more 'warming' and we will freeze to death.
