  1. Our scientist no longer need to explore global warming! If you will look at the books, the earth cools & heats ,no matter what humans do,its going to continue to do so until the end of time. The earth gets warmer then gets cooler. A century from now people will be talking about "global cooling". Spend your time on something you can change, I promise you, mother nature will take care of herself.

  2. The only way to stop global warming is to plant more and more trees as much as possible continuously

  3. I feel the same way. Well what u can do is pick up litter, take a trip to the Antartic, and pull polar bears out of the sea!

  4. yes we can move to mars i will only take 400 years to terraform

  5. Yes. What it does not have are quick fixes.  Which means it is going to be with us for many decades no matter what we do.  How bad it gets, and how soon things startt o improve are the things we can very much do something--a lot--to control.

The basic solution is very straightforward: quit  usigfossil fuels.  Now, obviously that's going to take years to do.  But one thing you should be aware  of is that switching from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources will be a big economic plus.  It will be expensive, of coursse--but in the sense of investment that pays off, not in costs that drain economic resources.

There's a long list of technologies, but I'll mention 2 jsut to illustrate what's involved:

#1falls intot eh category of "energy efficiency"--the "compact flourescent lights" (CFLs).  These cost a bit more--but also last much longer.  They cut the electricy use for lighting by over 75%--which also saves consumers money.  Less money spent on utilities means more spent on other goods and services--helping the economy.

#2 Solar eenrgy.  This technology is already far cheaper to oberate--though it is still fairly expensive to install.  However, there is a LOTof money going into new research to bring thatt cost down (and it's alredady dropped by half since 2000).  This is already creating thousands o fnew jobs  and giving birth to new businesses.  The more it takes hold, the more it will not only help the environment, the more it will help the economy and reduce consumer costs in the long run.

My point in going on about this is to stress a key point: stopping global warming, however long it takes, isn't jsut good for the environment, its  good for the consumer and for the economy.

Or we can keep on making EXXON rich until we're all broke AND the Earth is wrecked. Take your choice.

  6. Ofcoarse it does.

Every problem has a solution. =P i tink

  7. Yes of course global warming has solutions but i really dont think people think its a serious problem.

  8. Sure.  Enjoy it.  Life loves a greenhouse.  Would you rather live on a freakin' glacier or in the tropics?

Alaska was once tropical.  Antarctica had forests.  The deadly Ice Age crushed all life in its path.  For the past ten thousand years, the Sun has been driving back that deadly ice.  The glaciers have retreated two thousand miles and the oceans have risen hundreds of feet.  Much of the land we now farm, live on or enjoy was only recently crushed under a mile of ice.

    Life loves a greenhouse!
