Does glucose react with Hydrochloric Acid or Sodium Hydroxide?

If it does, are there any acids and bases that do not react with glucose?

  1. Glucose goes back and fourth between a cyclic structure and a linear structure depending on pH. Off the top of my head I would think that maybe only extreemly weak acids and bases might have little or no effect but none that I can think of right now
