Question:

Does gmail condense e-mails together?

I put out a fake ad on craigslist and now have like 60 responses. I used gmail for this and noticed that the last two e-mails are from different addresses and yet are attached like they are from the same sender. Might sound confusing, but anyone who has a gmail might know what I'm talking about. Why are the two different e-mails from two different senders showing up on the same page as a single e-mail?

  1. Gmail groups together "conversations" - so if 2 or more emails have the same subject line, Gmail puts them together.

Since these emails came in response to your Craigslist ad, fake though it may be, they may use the same subject line
