I did it Sunday, it was pitch black, and when I was coming downstairs, I saw a figure, and I though it was staring at me, and I went down closer, and it was a statue. Does anyone else get scared --- stories?

  1. Why would you feel scared in your fathers house ? I think you have been watching to many movies

  2. it shouldnt scare you it is GOD's home.and no evil can take it in the church of GOD

  3. yes especially if its pagan

  4. YES!  I joined our church's puppet ministry team (yea, i have no life lol) and I was the first to show up to practice. I walked through the dark aisle to the end were a bunch of naked puppets with open smiles and unblinking eyes were staring at me....*shudders*

  5. ... heehee, you must have a guilty conscience if you're scared.

Kidding aside, I haven't been inside a church for many years so can't relate any stories of interest.

Maybe it's a signal to you that it's time for you to light your lamp amidst the darkness surrounding you in life.

    Just my thoughts.

  6. no. why would i be scared to be in the presence of the Lord in His house of worship. He is always with me and I fear no evil.

  7. going anywhere in the dark is scary especially if your not very filmier with it.

  8. Jesus is with me

  9. No, although one time when I was in a cathedral late at night, I didn't realize the organist was about to practice one of his organ pieces.  He started off with something very loud on the huge pipe organ, and it came as a great surprise.  Apart from that, it doesn't bother me to be in a dark church.

  10. Gods promise I will never leave you or forsake you, tells me that I am never alone. God is always with me. There is no place where God is not. I do not have the opportunity to go into a dark church, If I did I would take the promise and God's presence with me.  Fear not is often found in the Scriptures, Fear not only trust. and you should be all right.

  11. I've never been scared of the dark. Plus, I feel safe and content when I'm in a church.

  12. I don't like the dark too much to begin with.

Then put me in a large room that's pitch black....wow...that's a lot of darkness.

  13. No.  I am usually in a dark church every Wednesday night.  I work there and I close the place down.  The only light switch is on the opposite side of the sanctuary from where I exit, so I turn out the lights, walk through the completely dark church and out.
