All those silly people wearing Pringle sweaters and oversize trousers, taking up large areas of our precious countryside, in order to play a game which is, frankly balls (of the golfing kind).

Who's for filling their holes with concrete?

Golf doesnt annoy me.. But when I imagine myself golfing. I can never hit the ball. Coz the end of the golf club keep flapping to the bottom.LOL

Well I say keep it - Imagine if these silly people in bizare clothing walking over the countryside after a few balls suddenly had nothing to do all day! It would be terrifying! Keep the courses - normal people may not like them but it gives em' a place to go and have fun with other wierd people, where they can't hurt anyone or break anything. You don't have to like it but at least it keeps us normal people safe.

Im one of those silly people walking around on your countryside.  If I find you anywhere near my holes, I will fillyou with concrete.

Golf courses are great natural habitat for birds, fish, squirrels, basically any kind of wildlife.  Thats one of the best things about it, being out and about with all of natures creatures (Although I once was attacked by a rattlesnake on a course in Colorado.)  I suppose they could use that land for a new Bio-deisel plant, I guess that would be much better than a plush green golf course.

Yep. Very annoying. So much land for so few people. A lot of posing and sucking up to the boss goes on.

And seeing golfers golf in atrocious weather, well that is the most annoying of all.

It's not a sport, it just poncing about with a stick, a ball, and a hole.

.... so in other words you want to take up those large areas of our precious countryside that is grass. and just turn the grass into concrete.  So still out precious countryside is now concrete.  Then you have to think about everything else that comes with concrete. roads, buildings, etc.

em no i dont agree, if its about the countryside being wasted - think of the alternative, sum land greedy bast@rd with the dream of squeazing as many houses in as possible. think thats what you should be more worried about

and golf - who gives a c**p? doubt anyones debating whether its eating up the energy sources of the world as u type that daft question on ur computer?! lol

Watching people play golf is the same as watching grass grow! I will say that unless you have tried to play the game you really have no idea what the attraction to it is! This is the only sport where your only true competitor is yourself! I love the way golf courses look we need more grassy areas in this world not less. They paved paradise and put up a parking lot!

Well i don't like your attitude towards golfers. See the thing with golfers are that 95% of us are very Honest, and very quite, and have respect for other people. Lets destory golf courses which cost about 10-15 million to build and it's not tax payers money either. And lets build some freeways and resorts and skyscrapers on the courses so your contryside will not be so quite anymore, and we can just have the state make us pay for that.. Your effin brillant
