Not even close.  Skiing, Snowboarding, Bullfighting, Rock Climbing, and Skydiving are just a few sports that I can think of where people die on a regular basis, its pretty rare in Golf.

Not sure what country you are in but, in Australia, the 'sport' with the highest number of deaths is fishing, due to people being swept off rocks. It may be golf where you are.

I know a lot of people do get struck by lightning because of holding golf clubs etc. If a lot die due to cardiac prob's, it's probably due to the fact that a lot of people who play golf are older and probably have heart problems already.

I love golf, although I haven't played since my divorce when my ex-hubby got custody of the golf clubs.
