Does gonorrhea goes away?

i have a friend who told me she read a book about std's.she also told me that gonorrhea does not go away..well is that true???

No it's not true. You can take antibodics for it. Because many people with gonorrhea also have chlamydia, another STD, antibiotics for both infections are usually given together. Persons with gonorrhea should be tested for other STDs.

Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection that is treatable with antibiotics.  So yes, assuming you get proper treatment, it does go away.  Your friend has confused gonorrhea with other types of STDs, such as HPV or herpes, which are viral and are not curable.
