ABSOLUTELY.  When I began working out with weights during my teen years, I noticed a change in my overall outlook and way I dealt with people.  It helped me attain better paying jobs.  Not saying you should lift weights, just keep up with your health.  Now I have a heart condition, and my health status has changed, and yes, I've been depressed as a result, but I've been working on improving things, and, as a result, have been feeling better.  I strongly encourage you to maintain a healthy diet, exercise, stay away from excess sugars and fats, and your body AND mind will thank you for it!

If you are physically healthy, you can expose yourself without anyone teasing at you. If you're mentally healthy, it's also the same thing, which means that you are confident dealing with other people who have diverse personalities.
