no but you can add it to it if you so wish and make curried eggs with this gumbo would be delicious, i love seafood gumbo you are making any save me some umm i tummy is gurgling for some.

It can be one of the ingredients.  Hardcooked of course.

nope.  there is no egg in traditional gumbo recipe.  The soup is thickened by the use of  a roux (which is made from flour and water).
