Does hair grow faster if you dont wash it for a while?

i heard that if you dont wash your hair for a while, it grows extra fast. and that it makes it shinier and smoother.

idk. please answer this with whatever you know!!!!!

  1. no way! thats sooo untrue! u gotta wash ur hair regularly so its moist and stuff it makes ur hair better...... and stuff like that! ;) hope this helps! sry if i dont really sound like an expert! ;)


  2. NO!!!!! your hair is a by product from the protien in your blood. Eat a lot of protien and stimulate your scalp when washing and this will increase your blood curculation and hair will grow.

  3. yeah, but i dont recommend it i mean wash ur hair like every 2-3 days. longer than that is just gross.

  5. well the oil in your hair glands is good for the condition of your hair which means you shouldnt wash your hair every single day as it washes the essential oils away, but you should wash it every second or at most third day because greasy hair looks awful. and too much oil is bad as it will become dirty. so no i doubt it grows faster if you leave it but you never know.do shower everyday though even when your not washing your hair. hope i helped.

  6. The only thing that affects how fast your hair grows is your diet.  If you eat a lot of healthy food it'll grow faster than if you live on junk food.

  8. well ive always heard that hair grows faster when you dont wash it and i do believe it is true if i go a few days with out washing my hair it does seem like it grew and my daughter has realyl kinky dry hair so she cant wash her hair everyday and her hair grows faster the less she washes it hope this helps but the obly way to know if something wil work for you is to try it
