Does hair oil damage your hair ?

i know that mouse, gel and spray all damage your hair. i use to put mouse and gel all the time on my hair but then it got dry so i stopped and i been styling my hair with just oil. what does oil do to hair ?

It doesn't damage it lubricates the hair shaft and adds shine.But i have to tell you oils don't moisturize hair the only coat the hair and seal in whatever moisturizer you use beforehand so b4 you apply it use a leave in.You can also use it as an hot oil treatment.
