  1. It is the same theoretical basis for both hand and foot reflexology. The feet tend to be more sensitive because they are sheltered by shoes. But effects can be achieved by both.

Hands are more accessible than feet for self help. In general more people like their feet being worked on but there are a growing number of people who seek out hand reflexology, It might have a lot to do with hand overuse because of texting and keyboard use.

For both hand reflexology and foot reflexology as another poster said the right hand represents the right side of the body and the left hand the left side. The exception is the brain which does cross over.

  2. Does hand reflexology work like foot reflexology?

YES.  Exactly the same.  Both are utter nonsense, based on 18th century superstition and majick.

  3. Actually the right side of the body is on the right foot and it's the same for the hand. The only time it would be flipped is if you were helping a stroke type patient because it's the hemispheres in the brain that are flipped. So in answer to your question you will want to work the right hand for right elbow pain.  Reflexology can also be done in the ears. I hope that helps and good luck!

  4. lol, yeah I think we can say for certain that neither is more effective than the other :-)
