Does having a Bacterial Infection....?

This may be a little bit to handle, but I am unsure of this. I want to the gyno last thrusday, thinking everything was normal until I recieved a phone call. My doc says that i have a bacterial infection. I am wondering if sperm can contribute to the bacterial infection among other things? My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now, and I was wondering since I have a BV would that lower my chances of becoming pregnant, or wil it not effect it at all?

I do believe that s***n can cause that. I don't think it will affect your chances at getting pregnant. I was told by my doctor that bv can cause PID which that can lead to problems with conception.
