Does having a cold/flu make your brain slower?

I have a cold and I feel slower and like I can't move as fast or think as fast or talk as quickly or as clearly. I feel like I am slower than normal. I often feel like this when I have a cold or a flu. Why is this?

thats a good question..i feel like that also..is sucks.i think is because your bodys more focoused on killing the bug inside you

I'm going through the same thing right now.  My sinuses are very congested, so I can't get a nice deep breath of air.  I think our brains become oxygen-deprived when that happens, so we don't think as fast.
