  1. I don't feel 'old' just more my age now. I have a soon to be 9 month old and I'm 28.

  2. umnot really..it makes me feel great to be honest..im a young mum (21 when i had him now 22) and i dont know...my hubby and i still go out etc we jsut go to different places; were lucky a lot of our mates have children and new babies so we sill all catch up we jus have bbqs etc

on the energy side of things i dont htink thats an age thing,..,i miss having a full nights sleep..and just whipping into the supermarket without worrying about prams etc

  3. It did for a while but now that they can run and play I feel like I am a kid myself again. We play on the playground and color and watch lots of cartoons. That old feeling went away and I am more active than ever. And I am trying to enjoy it because I know before long they will be to "old" themselves to do fun things with mommy and then I am sure the feeling will come back.

  4. A little bit, but it makes me more excited to be able to be able to give them what i had when i was a little kid. It makes me think back to my child hood and share with her what I once had. I am just trying to make hers the best I can :)

  5. Oh yes, it doesnt really make me feel "old", just realized that all my "me" time is gone for the next 18 years. :P

Its really starting to hit me now that my son is 3. Hes doing alot of new things and makes me remember being a kid on a hot summer day with no worries and just waking up to have fun that day. What I do is, I just get down and dirty with him! You have to keep that inner child of yours or your just done for! lol! I miss those days, but Im loving these days too!

  6. yes! well not my childhood so much (I think of that as being in highscool or younger which for me 8 yrs ago) but my youth definitely I feel like and I just feel like I have a lot of energy naturally but it all ahs to spent on my baby.

  7. Me, personally . . . It doesn't make me miss my childhood at all.  It's like getting to relive my childhood all over again actually, even better!  Seeing my kids faces on Christmas morning is better than any present I ever received as a child.  Dressing them up on Halloween is priceless . . . (I also enjoy raiding the baskets once they have gone to bed . . .shh).

  8. It can at times but you should never let it be that way all the time. If your feeling that way, maybe you need to remind yourself you can have a bounce in your step till the day you die, and kid doesn't mean your not going to have that bounce. ;) A common misconception is that if you have to have kids you have to grow up, and if you've had them for years that your not free to have fun. Kids= Maturity/Responsibily, and anyone can have fun and live a childhood if they have kids.

I know several people with kids who are always entergetic, and their in their fortys and fifties, so what does that say about the moppy younger parents. Best tip I could suggest is getting out and doing something physical, with/without kids. :) Playing a game of catch, or maybe just playing with blocks with baby, or just singing to a child can pump you up.

Life is only laggy or boring if you let it been, the last thing having a child should do is make you feel old or miss childhood. Childhood stays with you (is constant) until your dead.

  9. I miss being a kid. I should have been it for awhile but instead I got pregnant when I was 15. I don't regret none of my kids but wish I would have waited, but they were planned.

  10. yep, having a kid just makes you feel like times passing by quick... and all you have is memories. it actually makes me appreciate my parents and loved ones more.
