  1. absolutely. unless the excitement leads to throwing up. I was one of the top runners in cross country for my school, and i used to get super nervous, thinking i was going to lose, but it would make me forget the pain and run faster, although once i finished the race, sometimes i would throw up or start choking from overexerting myself. buy, hey, i would win, so it was worth it.


  2. Yes. It makes you feel that you can run forever. But just dont get ahead of yourself because you might burnout if you go too fast. Just stay focus and let the race come to you.
