Look at Bush for instance, he had plenty of gov't experience, I mean he was gov of texas for 8 straight years! What kind of President is he?..sure as h**l not a good one. So all the arguments that Obama doesn't have much govt experience, would that automatically make him a bad president?

  1. WE know that. Unfortunately, the people in the convention happening now don't. And they refuse to see the plain truth in your statements. Sigh. Valiant effort though. It's great that you tried.

  2. No. Bush had years of experience, but just having experience doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be a great leader. Experience, at least to me, doesn't count for a lot in politics because it's a gray area. Despite his not having any 'experience' as opposition puts it, I don't feel that it will really have too much of an impact on performance. The same could be said of Palin, but as these characters are placed upon the stage of government; we'll see what role experience actually has.

  3. you are welcome to your opinion, but there are tons of people who will disagree with you.  he's definitely not the best ever, but he's done some pretty courageous stuff.  just because you don't like it, does not make it bad.  sometimes (seems a lot, lately), the right thing is very unpopular.

Mr. Obama has done very little for his constituents, i can tell you that!  as i am one of them.

    with best regards,

  4. I agree. Also, all of this about Palin and her drama, and McCain's military experience being pushed down our throats everyday all day is just a rotten ploy to distract Americans (Republican, Democrats, Independents) from the rotten job that Bush did and the mess that he has left us in. I'm voting for the person who has my best interest in mind, not the fastest shooter, not the one is is good at catching/cookin moose, not the one with the best military stories..

  5. Government experience certainly doesn't guarantee anything.  I'm sure it is helpful to have some experience, and Obama has plenty of it.  (Incidentally, he has substantially more experience in elective office than does Hillary Clinton, who made it a big issue during the primary campaign).

I think the issue of executive experience is valid one, but again, I don't think that's essential.  George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and John F. Kennedy had no executive experience before becoming president, and they all did fine jobs.

I do think it's a mistake for Sarah Palin to make too much of this.  It's probably not a good idea for her to call too much attention to her term as mayor of a 5000-person speck of a town in Alaska and 18 months as governor of a state with a population smaller than that of Chicago.  She also likes to point out that she is the commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard.  That's true only when the Guard is not deployed in combat.  At those times, the Guard is federalized and comes under the command of the Department of Defense.

  6. Obama's been in the state and national senates for 12 years.  Don't believe that BS about him not having a lot of experience.

  7. no it dont mean nothing at all.like u said, look at bush.he sucked.thats why obama needs to win. and he will.to clean his mess up.mcsame will only make it worse.
