  1. LOL .............Only if you believe

  2. daniel k is right all devices on an electrical circuit have an affect on the alternator when being used     but as mentioned there is no real concern about fuel consumption unless your running such a gigantic stereo system that it is robbing power from fuel delivery systems in your vehicle

and can i add that if people dont have an actual answer how about shut up and let people with a brain do the thinking(no one likes a smart**s

  3. Every electrical device in the car does put an small extra load on the alternator.  The radio is no diffferent.  There is no such thing as free energy.

I would not worry about it though.  It probably only effects your gas mileage by a tiny amount.

If you want to experiment sometime, open your hood and turn the headlights on and off.  Your engine will slow down slightly when you do this because of the electrical load.  In some countries they actually run with the headlights off even at night to save fuel.

  4. your radio, and speakers are electricly powered by your battery. The battery is constantly charged by the engine through the alternator (whether you use it up or not!). So, the radio can't possibly affect the rate at which your engine burns gas.

    Bottom line: No.

  5. With extremely high gas prices straining consumers pockets in recent months, it is only natural for people to wonder where all the money they pay at the pump goes..I install fuel saver on my car after i found this web site..
