I was declined for an American Express credit card but had my mom apply with me on the account as an additional card. We were approved this way but I am wondering if this card will help increase my credit or only hers?

  1. Yes, it does count towards your credit. I am also on my moms AE account and it shows up on my credit history. So yeahhhh! :)

  2. if she is the main person just her maybe you have one that you can use but i would say what you do its get a gas card so you drive? you have to pay quickly each time you get the bill and that is how you build credit american express charges for their card and i refuse to use that type its stupid. any card if you pay it promptly it will eventually give you bigger and longer credit stuff but you have to pay it off each time. so buy a shirt then pay it off then buy a pair of pants pay it off and keep it up till its Good but you Al's should have job they also like to have job references also.
