Question:

Does he not like me because I'm too immature?

We were best friends (we lived down the street from each other) from kindergarten to fourth grade. I had to move to a different neighborhood. Now we're both 13 My mum and I were at the show in April, and he approached me and said, "Hey" and such. I decided to write him a letter now, acting generally happy, and cracking some lame jokes, just like the old days.

It's been 1 week and no reply.

Has he grown up too much, and thinks me immature, or does he want no contact from the past?

I want my old friend back.

Please help.

  1. It's really hard to say what he's thinking and that's probably why you're getting no answers from anyone here.  I could guess that if he hasn't responded by now, there's not a whole lot of interest there.  But I wouldn't know for certain.  Maybe he's already involved with someone else.  Maybe he thinks you're immature.  Maybe he's not interested in girls.  Maybe...well, you get the drift.  But one thing is for sure..

If he were interested, he would have gotten back in touch with you.

So the only advice I can give you is that it's time to move on.  And if, by chance, his return letter got lost in the mail or something unlikely like that, then you can deal with it when it happens.

    Good luck!!
