Does he really like me, or is he just stringing me along?

What to do in this situation?

Well I've liked my best guy friend for almost a year now. He knows I like him, and he has told me he likes me too. But, he said before goes into a relationship he has to make complete sure that the girl is right for him. He also said he wants a relationship, but he doesn't want one at the same time. He will talk to me constantly for a couple days, but then he'll stop suddenly, then do it over and over. I don't know what to do, since he's my best guy friend, I can't just ignore him in order to get over him. Also, I don't want to bug him about not talking to me sometimes. What should I do? Just move on? Will he ever want a relationship? Also, he has said reasons why we should be together. He talks to me about family problems, etc. (If you have any more questions, I'll add answers in the details).

I say he's just dragging his feet and he's not ready to take it to the next level with you. I'd move on and keep being friends and once you find a new guy, he'll probably come crawling back to you. If not, find a guy that doesnt' play games.

well ive been in this situation before but its really tricky cuz if uve been friends with him for a while u know like everything about him n if u try to get over him the minute u start to u see or hear something that reminds u of him but wut u need to do is talk to him n tell him how u feal n if he says he likes u he will make an effort to change his ways but if u wanna start a realationship with him u need to give it some time n just talk more n try n call him when hes alone cuz they always tell the truth when they are alone n just try n wait til hes ready to move forword with u .

Well, as you said, he knows that you like him and he like you too. You can test it out easily. First, ask him out for a date at a cinema. You would tell him that you are afraid to watch a ghost movie and wish to watch it with him. You will buy some popcorns and share it with him, you will hug him tightly with your cute arms and he will blush if he likes you. This will tell you if he likes you. Good luck!

When he says he needs to make sure the girl he choses is the right one for him, he's right, BUT just because he is yourbest friend friend doesn't mean jack!!(Nothing), If I were you, I would move on with my life and turn all of this over to God)if this realationship is to be it will be, BUT if its not it won't be! It seems to me he doesn't know what he's doing either, maybe he needs to turn it over to God as well; and then you both will find the answers that you both need; as far as your best friend is concerned (if he is really your best friend)he'll understand, if he doesn't understand about this, then maybe he really isn't your best friend! And maybe you need to look further on for one. God is your very "true friend" He will never leave you, you can talk to Him whenever you wish to, He's a great listener, never tones you out, never ignores you,is always right by your side!
