Does heat, pressure or water sensitive paper exist and where can I find it?

I need to print onto paper without the use of ink, nor a printer - must be possible by hand - preferably in black or white, and am not actually even sure if the technology exists, if there is a certain name for it or where I can purchase the paper.

Thank you :)

  1. Heh - use a pen or pencil. Those are black. :)  Just kidding (or am I?)  :)

There is thermal paper like that's used in thermal reciept machines. However, I'm not sure that you'd be able to print on it via "hand".

Be careful with the carbon paper as technically - it has "ink" on the back of it. However there is paper that creates that "copy" by using... pressure. It's called NCR paper (No Carbon Required). Technically there is small die packs on the back of the paper - but not like old carbon paper.

Try an office supply store like Office Depot or Office Max for both.

  2. Carbon paper would work (the stuff they use to make copies of receipts, checks, etc.)

  3. I believe the product you are looking for is "Teslin". It is a tear proof, chemical proof, water proof...bomb proof synthetic paper. It is used in fields such as; aerospace, drilling, maps and field manuals.

You will need to contact a local paper distributor, not Kinko's or Office Depot!!! Contact a local print shop and ask them who they use.

BTW, it is pretty expensive stuff!!!
