  1. Depends on what posistion you would like to play. If you want to be a center, you either have to be tall or have an awesome verticle. But if you want to be a point guard height isn't as important, but you still need hops.

  2. no i mean look at chris paul and allen iverson and there great

  3. no the shorter the better

  4. the best height is between 6'5- 6'9 if a player is to small then he cant help his team like allen iverson, chris paul

  5. no, as long as you have talent

  6. Height helps in small ways.  If you are taller than your defender you have an easier time taking shots since you can get above him (assuming both people have equal hops) .  If you are defending someone smaller than you it will be easier to give him a harder look since you can get in his face.

  7. No not really...

  8. The amount of skill you need becomes less as you become taller.

Centers just need to be strong and grab rebounds and block shots.

Point guards need to have a tremendous amount of skill in order to orchestrate the offense.

But if you're dealing with really competitive games,  size is required.  If you're 6'0 and under,  you'll have some problems.

  9. allen iverson and chris paul one of the best in the league are short so no

  10. yes, hieght plus talent equals great player

  11. NO!! You need skill thow!

  12. Well i guess height does matter in basketball for all positions except the point guard position. The shortest active NBA player is Earl Boykins whom is 5'5" and next shortest active NBA point guard is Nate Robinson whom is 5'9" tall only and they can add many points to the scoreboard.
