Does hockey school give you a better chance at the NHL or juniors?

If i went to a hockey school for a couple years would that greatly increase my chance of making a junior a team or the NHL?

  1. If you go to a canadian hockey school in canada for 6 months my friend got recommended for it and they said that if you do it you will either make juniors or pros for sure. but it cost 30,000.


  2. Depends on your on-ice ability, maturity as a player and as a person, the amount of scouts who see you play and their connections .. but it's probably going to expose your play more so than a high school league (in most parts of the world anyway)

  3. If you live in an area with sub standard coaching (like in the US) a school will help. You are better off to move to Canada and play Midget AAA which has scouts, great coaching, and exposure. If you do want to go to school Notre Dame in Wilcox Sask is the best there is and has produced more Major Junior players than any other program in the world.

  4. Ofcourse!

    If you can practice hockey full time for 4 years straight your skill level is going to be way better than if you didnt.

    If the school knows what they are doing like Crosby's old school then you should have a good shot.

    Going to cost a load og green though.
