  1. Does homeschooling in US cost? It depends on the individual and family.  Some parents just visit the local library or some just use sophisticated schools like A Beka, Calvart, K-12 and more.

There is another option called Virtual Schools - Some are Free and some you Have to pay a fee. Virtual schools like Florida Virtual School also have a competitor many people do not know about "Connection Academy" .

Connection Academy is a rapidly growing form of free public school that students attend outside the walls of a traditional classroom. It combines strong parental involvement of learning at home, the expertise and accountability of public education, and the flexibility of online classes.

They provide each student with Free textbooks, lesson plans, online resources and other curriculum materials. If you dont have a computer they offer a free loaner and printer.

Do you have be US citizen? I think you have to be a legal immigrant.

  2. It depends. In many school districts they will pay for your books and supplies, some will even provide you with a computer to use. Some will also give you an "allowance" (mine is $100 a month) to use for extracurricular lessons such as piano or french. Every school district and every state is different. Check with your local district or find a home schooling group and ask them what is available in your area.

  3. yea, u have to buy ur books, and tests and stuff like that, and yea i'm pretty sure u have to ba a citizen, but i'm not completely sure about that.

  4. A little at times or a lot.

No you don't have to be a citizen

It depends on LOCAL law for the state.

You have to follow their rules.

Home school can cost as little as $50 a year or as much as $2,000 a year.

It depends on the laws and the methods.

  5. Homeschooling varies in price. But is very expensive, but well worth the education if you put out an effort. When i started homeschooling i spent around $800 on books. Of course, a good education is what i strive for. I am not sure you have to be a u.s. citizen since illegal immigrants sometimes go to public schools. Some people get paid to homeschool other kids, so i am no for sure about whether they need to be a citizen. If you are an illegal citizen it might me hard to buy books. So, hope this helped!

  6. go to www.hslda.org to check your state's laws. It does not matter if you are a citizen...some states don't even ask for your name. As far as books and such go I'd say my family spent about $280 on me in the 3 years I was homeschooled....not counting gas money for library trips, which they would have taken anyway.

  7. you have to buy the books and exams.... good question.
