Does how much you have in savings count when filling out your FASFA?

If you have a good amount of money in savings but you have a pretty low income does it affect how much money you will receive from your FASFA?

  1. I think it does count because you have to supply that information, otherwise what's the point. I'm not sure how much it counts though. How much do you have in the bank?


  2. Your savings can affect your eligibility. However, many things are considered when determining eligibility, such as income and assets, household size and number in college.  How much it affects your eligibility will be determined by the amount in your savings account.
