Does humidity(relative) affect the amount of air particulates in the air?

Does is? If there is 80 percent humidity and 75 percent humidy the next day, would the 80 percwent humidity have more air particulates? also answer the question on my tittal please.

  1. Humidity is how much water vapor is in the air.  Generally water vapor and air particulates would just float around together, however as the air cools, the water vapor would start to condense on the particulates and form fog or clouds.  Since water vapor needs particulates to condense on, I would assume that there would be less particulates in the air when the humidity is lower.

When smoke from fossil fuels combines with damp air(air with more humidity),a particular type of smog(sulphurous smog) is produced.Smog consists of high density combination of aerosols and gaseous pollutants.Smog badly affects cities such as Los Angels and Mexico city.The word 'smog' is derived from the words smoke and fog.

    Hence,humidity sometimes(under certain conditions) increases the pollutants in the air.
