  1. I've never tried it for weight loss but I've had success for other issues.

It doesn't happen instantly, but if you get into it 1-2 times a day for about a month, you'll notice changes

  2. Depends on the hypnotherapist.  If they get you to attach good feelings to being active, to saying no to food and to believing you can lose weight then it will work a treat.

  3. I once went to group hypnotherapy for 10 sessions...we had gotten a CD to listen to before sleep.  I was pleased with results & it helped with calming me at other times.

I must say I was motivated at the time to lose weight.

    Good luck to you.

  4. I will be honest with you I AM a certified hypnotherapist. I have found that the issues that cause people to gain weight are so deep that it can take many many sessions on a regular basis to lose weight. I wish I could say it was a "one shot" visit, but in my experience it is not. How hypnotherapy can help is by dissolving those "trigger" things (emotions, foods etc.) that make you eat more etc. I have gotten sessions for many things, and in my experience as a client as well, is that it takes several sessions to make changes in  things. (Weight, smoking, bad habits etc) I will say that because hypnotherapy addresses the deeper causes of why overeating and eating habits occur, that it does make a great difference in the long term, because you get to heal the "why" you eat or do what you do. This can create long term success.

  5. It works!
