Question:

Does iPod have enough juice?

I recently posted a question about playing my iPod through my car speakers. I do nt have an AUX port on my stereo, but the nice fellow at BestBuy said that I should take my deck out and if it has a red wire and white wire that I can hook my iPod up using those. He said that this is what he does.

I was talking about this with my dad, and he brought up the point that my iPod might not have enough power to make the speakers work. He is still willing to look at it with me, but does anyone know if this is a problem? If the guy at BestBuy said he got it to work and if this is really just bypassing my lack of an AUX port, I would not think that it is a problem.

Much thanks in advance.

  1. im not sure why he would say that, the red wire should be one of the power wires ( i belive the ignition and yellow is constant, could be reversed), im not sure what the white one is, but unless is a universal speaker wire (which i have never seen before in a car) then i dont understand how you will be getting sound to all four speakers or how ever many there are, i dont think your ipod not having the power is what causing there to not be sound, i think its that the speakers are not hooked up to your ipod

  2. NO PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
