  1. Negative. Ibuprofen is a pain reliever that has a muscle relaxant quality to it. Caffeine actually decreases the bodies natural pain tolerance. Caffeine blocks endorphins, which has a slight decrease on the bodies natural pain tolerance.

  3. Ibuprofen is the generic name for a muscle relaxant, anti-inflammatory drug. Brand names for it include Advil and Motrin.

    I really wish some drug manufacturer would make an ibuprofen with caffeine in it, like Anacin (which is aspirin and caffeine). I've never found an ibuprofen equivalent on the market - and I've looked.

    One way to have both is to take 2 ibuprofen and add 1/4 of a No-Doz or Vivarin pill - these are caffeine pills. It's easy to cut them in half, not as easy to make fourths.
