  1. Actual ice cream contains eggs. Yolks actually. Most mass porduced ice creams may have very little or no yolks at all, due to cost. Check out the side and look foe eggs, yolks or lecithin (a binding agent found in yolks.)

  2. Go for sorbets. they are frozen fruit juices and excellent. No milk, no egg.

Or you can make your own ice cream.

http://www.recipezaar.com and put ice cream in the search box and look for a recipe that doesn't have eggs in it.

  3. The proof is on the side of the carton. Ice cream generally has lots of eggs, specifically yolks. It's basically frozen custard.

    So-called Philly-style contains no eggs.

  4. yes most icecreams have egg in it as its part of the main ingredients but some manufactures may not use egg to cut the costs down i know

ive made icecream without egg cant show u proof but if ur allergic to eggs then stay away because  some may not have egg in it but the equipment they use to produce the icecream might have produced some thing else with egg any way just look at the ingredients at the bak of the container or make ur own.

  5. http://www.ice-cream-recipes.com/custard...

Go to the above listed link, and you will see that the base vanilla is made from does contain egg. Hope this helps.

  6. Yes, ice cream does contain egg.  It is used for crystallization and it's emulsifying abilities.  Please read the article in my source for proof and explanation.
