I know they do it while going to another country, but I'm not sure if they do check while going state to state in the same country. Do they check immigration status of people in the airports while going to another state in the USA?

  1. Homeland security through the TSA does keep a watchful eye on those without proper indentification

  2. Immigration does not.  Homeland Security has started to check foreigners flying on a foreign passport from state to state.  The TSA Screeners are looking for a valid visa.  No visa, they pull you out of line and call immigration.

    It's getting harder for illegals.

  3. No they do not. You will be asked for ID when checking in, TSA will ask for ID but for identification purposes only, not immigration status.

  4. Normally Government issued Picture ID, such as State Drivers  license, is required at the airport. However, they have rights to request additional ID such as green card. It wouldn't hurt to take green card or passport with visa with you, just in case.

  5. I have decided that in just a few days, the whole country gone on a downward spiral.

If you are checked the Airports by homeland security, then why would they check you if you are going state to state.

No matter where you are traveling homeland security is still checking you out.

    Here's your pretty sign.

  6. Usually they don't.

That is not to say that they cannot.

Unless you do something to arouse suspicion, you should be fine.
