Does insurance cover labiaplasty under any circumstances? i saw on one plastic surgeon's website that?

they may cover some cost...if so,what circumstances would you need for coverage?

  1. Absolutely not. The only way MIGHT be is if you were born with some gross deformity, and that doesn't seem to be the case here.


  2. Only if it is a medical necessity.

    If it is for cosmetic reasons - no.

  3. I work for a health insurance company. We'd consider it not medically necessary and cosmetic in nature.  Therefore all expenses related to the service would be excluded under your benefits (i.e. anesthesia, facility charges, physician charges, etc.)

    The patient would be 100% financially responsible.
