well you're not really allowed to import it but hey it's not like i do everything legally

but it all depends on the service. since it's only for at&t you'd have to use that. but you can also unlock your phone

(Normally phones in overseas baught  from service provder works for their SIM only).

Only unlocked imported phones works in india.

Iphone supports indian network  for noral operations. 3G network not available in india
