  1. Um, no i wouldn't think they do. My friend has one and he has droped it a few times and it works fine (but i still wouldn't risk droping it lol) but the screen can get dirty and scratches easily so i would buy a case for it, look in the shop when your buying it, you'll find somthing. good luck x*x

  2. i don't think they do. My friend has stabbed hers tried drawing on it and microwaved it and it still works

  3. to answer your first question, no they do not break easily if you have them in the case.  the back will get scratched a bit, but every gets scratched on the back a little, lol.  the back doesnt really matter anyways.  as long as you take care of it and DO NOT drop it you should be fine.  i have a plastic case that goes around the whole thing except for the screen and its great.  it makes the ipod a lot heavier though.  a silicon case sounds fine, and when you get the ipod it comes with a screen protector on it but in the case theres another one.  i dont have warranty either and im doing fine with it.

  4. No, you're fine.

The back of it is metal, and the front is a really, really tough glass thats basically impossible to scratch. You can even find youtube videos of people *trying* to scratch one with keys and even a razor blade.

Plus, it uses flash memory instead of a hard drive, which is usually the part that fails on regular ipods.
